The new Iron Quarter project is a much better idea than the Museum Plaza.
Mostly because it will be right by the new downtown basketball arena and
will be a great place for people to go both before, and after, basketball
games or other events at the arena. It sounds like there will be shops and
eateries down there, which is just what that area needs to complement it.
Museum Plaza meanwhile will be down the street, too far away from everything
else that will exist in the new hub of activity by the arena. If downtown
has a choice of one project or the other the winner should definitely be the
Iron Quarter.
